Expertise: Mr. Mogil (Certified Consulting Meteorologist) is a 10-year veteran forensic meteorologist. He has worked dozens of cases (both civil and criminal), supporting both plaintiff and defendant. He is able to access varied data sources (not only nearby airport observations) to ensure honest and accurate event reconstruction. He has worked on cases involving lightning, flooding, roof collapses, visibility, boating accidents, slip and falls and hurricane- and thunderstorm-related wind damage. He is also able to use his public speaking and writing expertise, knowledge of computer graphics and weather visualizations and experience in education and training to maximum advantage, ensuring that judges, juries and attorneys clearly understand “how the weather works.” In addition to working for the National Weather Service as a forecaster, researcher and severe storm program manager, Mr. Mogil provided satellite training to many governmental agencies and hundreds of TV meteorologists.
